Transylvania & Dracula-part II

Part 2.
Dracula-Castle-wedding-planner-adrianaWhat Do Romanians Think About It?
That’s a good question! Many of them don’t really care! As simple as that. They simply don’t consider it as one of their legends, since there are so many other legends enriching their folklore. Romanian people do appreciate stories that tell about kindness and beauty, like Ileana Cosanzeana and Fat Frumos din Lacrima. Ileana stands for the feminine beauty, the most beautiful amongst the fairies; her eyes look like the sun, her body is like the sea and her garments are made of flowers; pearls and gold flow out of her mouth when she sings and uses her power of white magic to heal or revive. Fat-Frumos, akin to Prince Charming, is a knight hero possessing courage, purity, justness, physical and spiritual strength, cleverness, passion, and unshakable love. Then there are the animal fables and fairytales: Capra cu trei iezi (The Goat with Its Three Kids), illustrating the motherly love and childish disobedience, Cei trei purcelusi (Three Little Pigs), speaking about how hard work and patience pays off in the end. This is the genuine Romanian folklore. Does it come as nonsense to you? I assure you this is the truth. Romanians don’t mention Dracula if not as a historical figure. But recently, some people have started to grasp another viewpoint. Even if Dracula is only a legend, it can mean a good opportunity for foreigners to come to Romania. This country will finally be known better.  It could all start with your curiosity, but in the end the legend will lead you to awesome places, hospitable people and beautiful traditions.
That’s exactly why I thought about giving you this chance. Why getting married in exotic places where everybody else can go? Choose a unique wedding destination, where the spectacular scenery and its medieval castles form the perfect setting for your wedding, whether you believe or not in vampires! :)
